** Please note: This is the work for the entire week - Split it up so that you're doing a few hours per day- the recommendation for Grade 5 is roughly 2 hours a day, with focus on Math and ELA.

- Remember to "refresh" the website page each day/time you visit to account for any changes or updates made.

  • Spelling- complete Week 28 spelling booklet. Try to spend about 15-30 minutes a day working through your booklet or reviewing your words (once your booklet is completed). Get someone at home to do an at home quiz on Thursday or Friday.

  • ​Lines - Intersecting, parallel and perpendicular 

    • See the notes and examples on lines.​

    • Go through the PowerPoint slide notes.

      • You might want to break this up into small sections, instead of reading the whole thing in one sitting. Try some examples as you read through.

    • Complete the lines worksheets. Check your answers once you're finished.

  • Identifying Quadrilaterals 

    • First watch the video on the different quadrilaterals.

    • Read through the quadrilateral notes/powerpoint 

    • Try the worksheets. Check your answers when you're finished.

Science

  • Simple Machines Unit

    • Fill in the Simple Machine table with the purpose, definitions and examples 

      • Use the notes from last week for help.

    • Identify the Machine- Look at the pictures provided, and identify the machine you see for each. You can write them directly on the page, or a seperate piece of paper. 

    • Definition Fortune teller (this is optional) **

      • follow the directions and make a fortune teller for your definitions.​
